Clearing, digging and preparing sites properly
Before construction or landscaping can begin, the existing site often needs to be cleared and prepared. Bluebells Groundworks carries out excavation, site clearance, earthmoving and ground preparation work across Kent and East Sussex. The amount of material involved can vary considerably from one site to another, which is why planning access, machinery and removal of spoil is an important part of the job.
Site clearance
Sometimes the first job is simply getting the site under control. This can include removing unwanted materials, vegetation, old surfaces, rubble or other obstacles before the actual groundwork begins. Once the site is clear, we can establish levels and start preparing the ground for the planned work.
Bulk excavation
Larger projects can involve significant quantities of soil and other material being removed. Bulk excavation needs to be planned properly so that material is removed efficiently and the site is left at the correct levels for the next stage.
Working with restricted access
Not every site has easy access for machinery. Gardens, older properties and built-up areas can present their own challenges. Access needs to be considered before work starts so the right equipment and approach can be used.
Ground preparation from the start
Good groundwork starts with understanding what is already there. Once the existing ground has been cleared and excavated, we can begin preparing the site for foundations, drainage, landscaping or whatever comes next.
