We regularly work alongside other contractors and builders, completing the groundwork and preparing the site for the next phase. Once the foundations, drainage and flooring preparation are complete, the project can move upwards — literally.
A recent example
On a recent school extension project, our groundwork included the drainage installation, block and beam flooring and preparation for the next stages of construction. Within the first couple of weeks, the project had moved from excavation and groundwork to the outer brickwork reaching its first lift. It’s a good example of how quickly a site can change once the groundwork is in place.
More than just digging
Groundwork can sometimes be overlooked because so much of it eventually disappears below the finished building. But accurate excavation, levels, drainage and foundations all play an important part in the finished project. That’s why we take the preparation seriously.
